My journey in entrepreneurship can be traced back to my college days, where I founded a campus ministry that became a hub for fostering community and shared purpose. Through this student organization, I also showcased my passion for music as a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter by organizing & producing annual concerts each semester that not only highlighted my talents, but also provided a platform for others. I forged lasting connections with individuals who, through their own efforts, went on to achieve remarkable success as Grammy winners, distinctive award recipients, celebrity touring musicians, and internationally recognized symphony performers. Before graduating in 2003 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology (Human Development Concentration), the momentum generated from these gatherings fueled my passion and garnered a devoted following, setting the stage for me to step into the next stage of my purpose.

In 2004, a pivotal year unfolded. The circumstances for me to cultivate not only my creative and artistic abilities, but also launch into entrepreneurial ventures was created. It was during that transformative year that I approached my Dad, Larry Gordon, with a vision to extend my commitment to service beyond college. With his wholehearted agreement, he joined me as the vice president in both the non-profits I founded – Divine Global Empowerment and W.I.N.G.S. Domestic Violence Agency. I assembled my first board of directors which included seven remarkable individuals, leased and operated out of my first office, and began to embark on an expansive vision that began in my dorm room.

From producing plays, hosting fundraisers, and providing resources in several capacities through my non-profits, my path has been marked by a willingness to explore uncharted territories. Serving as Board Chair of the non-profits, our journey led us from owning residential properties and receiving donations of property lots and land parcels to acquiring a commercial real estate building, envisioned as a medical health center and pharmacy.  

Being apart of those milestones, coupled with my personal ownership and management, significantly enhanced my understanding of real estate. These lessons in the field will later serve as a guide to help others who were interested in the real estate niche.

In music, I've had the pleasure of playing keys & drums for a host of events, church services as a traveling musician, concerts, and other performances. Eventually I would transition into working out of professional studios, developing my skills as a songwriter, producer, and arranger - all without any formal training. My original songs and music tracks have been performed live in clubs, churches, productions, weddings, and memorial services and it's the most amazing feeling seeing with my own eyes people's response in dance, tears, rejoice, and abundant reception to my music.

My foray into internet marketing, sparked by my Dad's urging introduction, set the stage for an unparalleled journey in owning, running, and managing an online business consulting practice that you see today as Taryn LaRae's Business Hub - (tarynsbusinesshub.com). This venture would also include me sitting at my laptop for hours on end, writing multiple self-help books on various topics such as: how to write children's books, learning to write songs, MLM/Network Marketing, & neuroscience to name a few.

Without a booking agent or manager, I've grown a professional speaking platform. Throughout the last two decades, I've been personally asked to serve as mistress of ceremony for a host of private functions, speak as a keynote/inspirational speaker, preach sermons, deliver a commencement address, and contribute as a guest speaker for a number of diverse events including a building naming ceremony.

As the pieces of my diverse experiences fell into place, I realized I was unintentionally building my own empire - a conglomerate that seamlessly integrated business, music, writing, consulting, public speaking, and service.

I discovered that all my different skills came together into a unified vision, forming the foundation for a unique and growing hub that continues to evolve and expand. My journey has been completely unconventional; shaped by a mix of a formal academic education, surplus of diverse experiences, and hands-on learning.

My Dad always encouraged me to think big, embrace risk, and resist conforming into a single role or someone else's understanding of who I should be. I recognize that I came this far because of his unwavering support.
