Setting Yourself Up For Success

What does it take to plan like a champion?

Well lets take a look into our minds a little bit to answer this question.

For these next questions, I need you to be extremely honest with yourself. No need to lie, no one else but you will know the answers.

1) Are you afraid to fail your plan?

2) Do you regularly plan ahead?

3) Does your plans involve EVERYTHING you ever wanted?

4) Do you plan ahead with your business and family in mind?

5) Do you visualize your plan being achieved?

6) How far ahead do you actually plan???

=========================

That wasn’t so bad was it???

It’s important to always ask yourself these questions. Doing so will ultimately lay out what it is that you want in life. Business & Family should always be considered together.

=========================

So let’s take a look at why all these questions help you to determine what it is in life and how it will affect you forever…

1) Are you afraid to fail your plan?

Are you afraid to fail your plan

Beating The Failure Blues:

Ah, failure. Nobody likes to fail. Unfortunately, when we draft our company strategies, a lot of us often consider that our ventures will fail. We act in this way because we have all experienced failure in the past. Every action we do begins with a plan. The majority of everyday plans are premeditated before they are carried out. It takes very little time for this process to complete. Plans that we have “consciously” formed are the ones that we typically recall. The majority are concepts that we never got around to completing and initiatives that were never given the chance to begin.

The secret to overcoming the “failure blues” is to simply practice visualizing all of your goals for your plans. When you watch anything you want to see, it should always feel like a clip from a movie with plenty of other senses involved—sounds, scents, and touch. The success of visualization is attributed to this combination. Because our thoughts work in pictures, this is accurate. Your sub-conscious mind will be better able to recall your goals if you intentionally visualize your intentions. This also communicates to your subconscious that you take this seriously.

2) Do you regularly plan ahead?

Do you regularly plan ahead
Come-on, be honest, do you actually sit there and make a good attempt to plan out your future, every single day? NO? Why not? Is it not that important to you?

Failing to plan is the same as planning to fail!

Planning everyday may seem like a lot of work to do but in actual reality, once it becomes a habit, it becomes second nature.

Study shows that it takes an average of 21 times for something to become a habit. For example, once you’ve driven your car 21 times +/- it becomes 2nd nature to you. Your sub-conscious mind takes over and drives for you.

The brain is the ship, and the captain is your “conscious mind.” Nothing will ever get done if you don’t deliberately issue a direct command to your “sub-conscious” (the crew). To ensure that the team does their daily tasks, you will need to be harsh with them for a period of 21 days. With time, the staff will perform their own tasks automatically, knowing them by heart.

Making a plan for each day can help your “Crew” understand what needs to get done. It brings your thinking together. In the end, this unity will serve as a springboard for achieving your objectives.

3) Does your plans involve everything you wanted?

Does your plans involve everything you wanted

I really do mean it when I say everything. There’s this small notepad that I keep on my desk all the time. It has many ideas for anything I could possibly desire right then and there.

That is, whatever it was that would make me happy “at that moment” and that I wished to have in my life. Not important what it is. What would make you happy right now, specifically? A better vehicle? Do you have $5,000 in your bank account? More customers? higher rankings in search engines?

Your mind will create a “TO DO LIST” if you write down precisely what you desire. Your subconscious will go through your memory banks to find an example of how to complete your “to do list” once your mind has created a “TO DO LIST.” Should your mind be unable to locate anything in your memory banks, it will eventually begin to fire concepts and instructions for your conscious mind to finish.

I should also mention that when it comes to your thoughts, writing anything down is like carving it directly into stone. It’s like if your mind were a piece of paper, and the only way to get it to come back and edit what you put down later is if you write it down.

4) Do you plan ahead for your business and family?

Do you plan ahead for your business and family
So why not, in my opinion? When I consider my business, I consider the future benefits it will provide for my family, friends, and me. Although I am not married and I do not have children right now, this does not imply that I am not considering having a family in the future.

Always treat family and business equally. They are a part of both your history and their future.

5) Do you visualize your plan being achieved?

Visualization is the fruit of success.

Do you ever catch yourself imagining yourself driving the automobile of your dreams? Who imagines you and your family lounging on a beach someplace in Mexico? Who envisions you taking home the “entrepreneur of the year” trophy? You do!

You have to improve yourself if you want to be happier and more prosperous. Again, you have to get well.

Everyday visualization ought to be the norm. Every day, even for only 30 seconds, take a time to picture all the sights, sounds, scents, and emotions associated with your daily schedule.

Let’s take a scenario where you have a presentation to give and, like most individuals who have given presentations, you are worried as hell.

About an hour before the presentation, pause for a moment. Imagine yourself arriving at the meeting with a sense of ease, confidence, and well-being. Hear the folks laughing, see their smiles, feel their attention. Try to fill the space with the scent of a lovely fragrance that makes you happy. Not to mention, following the presentation, notice how everyone in your immediate vicinity is complimenting you on a job well done. Imagine yourself enjoying a warm, rich-tasting cup of coffee while you talk to your supervisor, staff, or even prospective customers about your well-received presentation.

I promise you that you will feel better and more alive after a presentation if you develop the practice of mentally preparing yourself in this way.

The same method works for your objectives. Imagine yourself at the wheel of that vehicle; picture the sensation of air in your hair, perhaps even the sound of the engine. Use everything that comes to mind that will allow your thoughts to stray toward your objectives and aspirations!

6) How far ahead do you actually plan???

This is the most significant by far. The reason it’s the most significant is that it draws inspiration from each of the topics I’ve discussed above.

How far in advance have you ever planned? It’s not far enough, and I’ll wager on that. Dare to be audacious and steadfast in your beliefs. Never be scared to think creatively.

So how far can I push myself to prepare ahead of time? Two centuries!

I’m not kidding when I say that one of my aspirations is to live 231 years in the future. You see, I focus on something beyond life rather than just how I want to make my life better. My focus is on the unwritten history of my family. Everybody wants to give their future family members a familial legacy. So, why aren’t you making preparations in advance?

Just do it without hesitation or feeling ashamed, scared, or bashful. Continue working on it inside the notepad you use for writing. Continue to consider the future selves of your children, their descendants, and your great, great, great grand offspring.

Think about them. Wouldn’t it be nice if they could look back and say wow, my great, great, great grand father had the vision, the dedication and the will to think of me. Think of the impact you could have on those to be. Even go as far as writing a letter to the individuals who will be in your families future. Tell them what you have planned and why.

What if what you do now, affects someone 4 generations down the line in such a positive way that they feel the need to pick up were you left off? If it wasn’t for your vision, it would of never happened.

Better yet, it hasn’t happened yet, so how about you pick up that pen and start your future right now, this very moment.

On that note, I won’t keep you from writing your future.

Good luck & remember to see everything happen the way you want it to happen!
